North Carolina Poetry Society - Online Submission Form for 2017 Contests
http://www.ncpoetrysociety.org/adultcontests

Both NC Poetry Society Members and Nonmembers can submit their poems to the contests. NCPS Members may submit their poems to all but one contest for free, with a greatly reduced fee for the Poet Laureate Award.

Non-Members would have to pay $95 to submit to all 11 of our contests. Membership in the society only costs $30 (or $10 for students). So, if you are considering entering multiple contests, it may save you money to join the society before you submit! More information on joining can be found at http://www.ncpoetrysociety.org/membership.

All judges will be distinguished poets residing outside North Carolina, aside from the Poet Laureate Contest, which will be judged by the current North Carolina Poet Laureate (if available).

For the Poet Laureate Contest, only the winning poem will be published in the NCPS awards anthology Pinesong, however, the winner and five finalists will be invited to read at the Awards Ceremony in May.

For all other contests, all winning poems (numbered prizes and honorable mentions) will be published in Pinesong and invited to read at the Awards Ceremony in May.

All prizes and offers of publication are conditioned on the authors' certification that the poems are their original, unpublished work, and authors must comply with and agree to the Pinesong publishing agreement. NCPS reserves the right to withdraw prize offers from any author who is unwilling or unable to comply with the publication agreement, or whose poem is found to be in violation of the guidelines (e.g. exceeds length limits, author's name appears on poem, etc.)

It is not necessary to provide a bio at the time of submission. If your poem is selected, we will ask for your brief bio at the appropriate time.
